TO ALL MY WONDERFUL WOMEN OUT THERE! HAVE A BEAUTIFUL DAY!

One Flaw In Women

By the time the Lord made woman,

He was into his sixth day of working overtime.

An angel appeared and said,

“Why are you spending so much time on this one?”

And the Lord answered, “Have you seen my spec sheet on her?

She has to be completely washable, but not plastic,

have over 200 movable parts, all replaceable

and able to run on diet coke and leftovers,

have a lap that can hold four children at one time,

have a kiss that can cure anything from a scraped knee to a broken heart

-and she will do everything

with only two hands.”

The angel was astounded at the requirements.

“Only two hands!? No way!

And that’s just on the standard model?

That’s too much work for one day.

Wait until tomorrow to finish.”

But I won’t,” the Lord protested.

“I am so close to finishing this creation that is so close to my own heart.

She already heals herself when she is sick

AND can work 18 hour days.”

The angel moved closer and touched the woman.

“But you have made her so soft, Lord.”

“She is soft,” the Lord agreed,

“but I have also made her tough.

You have no idea what she can endure or accomplish.”

“Will she be able to think?”, asked the angel.

The Lord replied,

“Not only will she be able to think,

she will be able to reason and negotiate.”

The angel then noticed something,

and reaching out, touched the woman’s cheek.

“Oops, it looks like you have a leak in this model.

I told you that you were trying to put too much into this one.”

“That’s not a leak,”

the Lord corrected,

“that’s a tear!”

“What’s the tear for?” the angel asked.

The Lord said, “The tear is her way of expressing her joy,

her sorrow, her pain, her disappointment, her love,

her loneliness, her grief and her pride.”

The angel was impressed.

“You are a genius, Lord.

You thought of everything!

Woman is truly amazing.”

And she is!

Women have strengths that amaze men.

They bear hardships and they carry burdens,

but they hold happiness,

love and joy.

They smile when they want to scream.

They sing when they want to cry.

They cry when they are happy

and laugh when they are nervous.

They fight for what they believe in.

They stand up to injustice.

They don’t take “no” for an answer

when they believe there is a better solution.

They go without so their family can have.

They go to the doctor with a frightened friend.

They love unconditionally.

They cry when their children excel

and cheer when their friends get awards.

They are happy when they hear about

a birth or a wedding.

Their hearts break when a friend dies.

They grieve at the loss of a family member,

yet they are strong when they think there is no strength left.

They know that a hug and a kiss

can heal a broken heart.

Women come in all shapes, sizes and colors.

They’ll drive, fly, walk, run or e-mail you

to show how much they care about you.

The heart of a woman is what makes the world keep turning.

They bring joy, hope and love.

They have compassion and ideals.

They give moral support to their family and friends.

Women have vital things to say and everything to give.

HOWEVER, IF THERE IS ONE FLAW IN WOMEN,

IT IS THAT THEY FORGET THEIR WORTH.

PLEASE pass this along to all your women friends and relatives

to remind them just how amazing they are

5 favorite and least favorite celebrity fashion looks from this week 12/19

This week, us gays had lots to celebrate. First the repeal of Don’t Ask, Don’t Tell, then Madonna announced she was going to start work on a new album! Let me know what your favorite looks were via Twitter (@MathewGuiver) and check out my blog for more videos and fashion news www.mathewguiver.com THE BEST 5. Lady Gaga From the top with the jewelry in her hair, all the way down to the shoes, I love everything about this look Gaga sported leaving her hotel in London earlier this week. 4. Christina Ricci She attended the 2010 New York Stage And Film Winter Gala in this super sexy dress from the Zac Posen Spring 2011 collection. 3. Elle Fanning Twelve year old Elle Fanning worked the red carpet at a premier for Somewhere in NYC like a pro. The yellow and gold Rodarte dress and matching wedges are amazing! Especially the metallic accents. 2. Michelle Obama The vintage Norman Norell gown she wore during the Christmas in Washington special is gorgeous on Michelle. Very minimal, and fashionable, and she was dead on with the accessories and styling. 1. Gwyneth Paltrow Easily my favorite look of the week, as you might have guessed since I posted multiple blog entries about it. Gwyneth Paltrow owned the red carpet at the premier of Country Strong in this Emilio Pucci white gown. And I mean OWNED. THE WORST: 5. Kate Bosworth The 2010 Hollywood Style Awards were last Sunday and lots of stars walked the red carpet. Unfortunately Kate chose to do so in this look by Jil Sander. I’m only

5 favorite and least favorite celebrity fashion looks from this week 01/30

All the rehab focused celebrity gossip this week (Demi Lovato checking out, Charlie Sheen checking in, then David Arquette checking out) has me thinking… Luxury drug rehab centers really are the perfect example of a recession proof business! Anyway, here are my five favorite and five least favorite celebrity fashion looks from this past week. THE BEST: 5. Kirsten Dunst Black and blue done perfectly! Kirsten was spotted outside of the Chanel Spring 2011 Couture presentation in Paris this week looking incredible. The silk belted dress is Chanel, and so are the black pumps. 4. Alexa Chung The Chanel show really was where all of the fashionable celebrities were at this week. Alexa Chung comes it at number four on list of favorites this week. Just look at that tuxedo dress! 3. Baptiste Giabiconi I usually only include women in my fashion videos, but damn, Baptiste was definitely the hottest celebrity at the Chanel show this week. Seriously, from head to toe, everything about his look was perfection! 2. Demi Moore Demi looked fierce in this shiny black sleeveless Victoria Beckham gown. She wore it to the premier of her new movie Margin Call, during the 2011 Sundance Film Festival in Park City, Utah earlier this week. 1. Jessica Alba She sported this hot Gucci strapless cocktail dress at a dinner party for the high end designer in Paris. I love all the crystal and metallic beads, and went very minimal with the accessorizes to keep your attention on her dress. So gorgeous! THE
