Question: Why are women often attracted to married guys?
OK, sorry for posting in “Women’s Health” but it looks like this is the place to ask women stuff (like you guys do at the Men’s Health section haha).
So, not that I was a total reject when I was single but I’ve noticed (and not just myself) that women seem to be so drawn to married guys. And in a romantic/sexual way I mean, not just like a friendly buddy kind of way.
What’s up with that? Is that sort of some kind of women’s competitive thing where they try to “steal” the guy away from a competitor?
I know not ALL women feel this way but maybe you gals can shed some light into why some of your peers (or yourselves) do this?
Hi. Wow, great answers so far. Thanks. Very enlightening. For the record I have always politely redirected these “advances” even though some of them were HOT! Haha! It’s terrible. They should stop flirting with men like that.

Most girls would probably feel bad about ruining a marriage and destroying a family, so I don’t think that they are just trying to steal him.
Often it may be because he is an older man since he is married and they are not, so that may appeal to them.
Or they may like the fact that he is unattainable. Either they take this as a challenge or they figure since he is married they can flirt with him innocently whereas if they do this with a single guy, he might try to sleep with them.
Or a MORE LIKELY explanation is that they are actually attracted to the guy himself, not to the fact that he is married. Since he is married it’s likely he is good features and is a good person since his wife loves him. So another girl may see these features and also like him a lot.

Married men seem more desirable. They clearly are willing to commit and often come off as more mature. A married man is often confident in his relationship and that confidence is sexy.
